DRAGON BOAT RACE  UPDATE

we want to extend our gratitude for your expressed interest in participating in the Dragon Boat Festival races this year. Unfortunately, despite our efforts in submitting our application within 48 hours of the deadline opening up, we have been placed on a waitlist due to an unexpectedly high number of signups. It appears that the organizers of the Dragon Boat Festival did not anticipate this level of participation as participate slumped for a couple years after COVID-19.

While the Dragon Boat Festival remains a fantastic event for the Asian/Asian-American community in the Washington DC Area, we have made the decision to withdraw our participation this year. Instead, we are redirecting our focus towards ensuring early signups for Fall Kickball on the National Mall.

We believe that Fall Kickball will provide us with an excellent opportunity for team building and community engagement, and we are excited to shift our efforts in this direction. We encourage you to join us in this decision and look forward to your participation in Fall Kickball.

 Rest assured, our commitment to fostering a sense of community and camaraderie remains unwavering. Whether it's through our monthly run club or Fall Kickball on the National Mall, FYP is dedicated to providing opportunities for you to connect with others and enjoy shared experiences.
