What is FYP-DC?

FYP-DC is a young professional group that serves to connect Filipino, Filipino-American professionals and other professionals in the DC area to facilitate networking, social, community service and professional development events. 


What is our mission statement?

We are organized exclusively for recreational, social, educational, and charitable purposes. The purpose of FYP-DC is to create a network of young professionals in the Washington, DC area, to provide education about Filipino-American heritage through social activities, and to contribute to the local Filipino-American community.


Do you have to be Filipino/Filipino-American to attend the events or be a member?

Absolutely not! Although we cater to the interests of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans, we welcome anyone who wants to be involved in our professional group through professional development, networking, and community service.


How much is membership and what do I get for it?

General membership for 2024 is $45. As a member of FYP-DC, we will offer special benefits, including member discounted events, member-exclusive events, and a potential member spotlight feature on our social media platforms. Please refer to our Membership page for more details and to sign up!


What is the age range of this group?

There is no official age range for FYP-DC. However, we do require a minimum age of 21 due to some of our types of events (e.g. happy hours). Although most of our events will cater to the young professional, we encourage participation from anyone who wants to be involved.
